Re: 1100 switchgear
Sparki, lost my headlight!
Gone through everything, bulb, fuses, switches, connections....am electrically inadequate with no testing equipment. Everything looks ok but light won't come on. Switch lights on and sidelight comes on but high beam indicator is lit. Pass button indicator lights up but no headlight. Indicators also work. Everything points to bulb but tried a brand new one even though the old one looks fine.

Re: 1100 switchgear
buy yourself a cheap multimeter from ebay. a tenner will get you one. ignore all the fancy settings, just use it for checking voltages and continuity. an hour or two faffing will have you checking voltage and continuity like an old hand and in future you will wonder how you ever thought you couldnt test electrics.

Re: 1100 switchgear
Problem solved! Went through wiring diagram to see if everything checked out and it hadn't been hacked about by whoever fitted the alarm. All seems ok, pulled all connectors apart and tried a third new bulb...we have lights!
just gotta choose between avons or bridgestones next..

Re: 1100 switchgear
No choice bridge stones Bt 45. Last longer work in damp conditions ,
Just think the avon is a tyre that that fits front or rear just by reversing the direction.
However they are cheaper ...........for a reason.
