Also....can you put a chain on the wrong way round?

Yes if you took it off in one piece (swing arm out) then you could put it back the wrong way, then all the wear is on the wrong bits.
Have you tried all these
chain alignment with a straight edge along the chain ?
tight spots
pulling the chain off the back of the sprocket (on slack spot and tight spot)
rear sprockets on the correct way around
the spacer behind front sprocket is still there

Watcha Mal,

was off in one piece.

have checked the alignment.
checked for tight spots.
pulled chain on back of the sprocket.
didnt take sprocket off.
not looked to see if spacer is there.

Does that sprocket look too worn?

Hard to tell mate. Shape looks ok but the edges look worn over, odd. Can't imagine that's your clunk tho'. More likely the chain itself now. Tbh, a new chain and sprocket set is probably the best option in the long run. Start saving....

Might get a fancy gold coloured one :) Sure everyone on here would like that eh ;)

Any make better than others? Bearing in mind i do very little miles and dont ride fast :)

The sprocket teeth look a bit like shark theeth, so yes, I'd replace the set.

Well I cannot say too much as I bought a C&S kit off weEvil BAY for Skruffy Kat

When I opened it up and took it out of the wrapper, I felt it ought to belong to a Rapper :shock: :lol:
