Been flapping around trying to get everything sorted for a mot this week and one of my snag list items is the high beam. first off......is there no flash button on these bikes ? coz i cant find one !! second...my high beam warning light is ever so slightly on, even when high beam is not on

whats that all about then ? when i turn high beam on it gets brighter. High beam seems to be working ok.
Thanks in advance
Pete

check your headlight to see if there is voltage to the high beam even when the light is on low. dont trust how it looks, check it with a multimeter and make sure theres no voltage. check and clean out the contacts in the headlight switch, iirc the combined indicator/hi/lo switch hasnt got the best reputation for longevity. but the gs ones are better than the bigger kats. most important though CHECK YOUR EARTHS, then CHECK YOUR EARTHS, and finally, CHECK YOUR EARTHS. most electrical faults trace back to earth faults.

if i remember right from old gs switchgear there should be a round push button with "pass" on left side, but dont think this is necessary for mot anyway
and
CHECK YOUR EARTHS
