Hi lads,

It is my first topic on here :D I just bought a katana GSX 400 from 1992.
The menbership document have been sent. :)

So happy to find a club for that bike, as it does not seems to have to much arround.

I will need a bit of technical help, soon enough the bike I bought does start but it seems that one cylinder is not working as well as this other.
On the same cylinder it seems that the carbs is leaking.

The bike as been in a shed for about a year without moving so the gasket could have dry out a bit.

I will open a thread on the technical part as soon as the bike is home and I can look at that a bit more.

Cheers
Arnaud

Lots of 400's here and even more sound advice and knowledge. You have come to the right place.

Cheers

Thanks lads,
Effectively, it sounds the place to be :-)

I am getting her tomorrow, need to collect it with the van as there is a carb problem.
I will surely be onto ye about this.

I need to clean up my garage today to have a little room for that project, hopefully it will be as quick as cleaning the carbs and change the gasket.

I have seen on one of the post that the carbs needle could be a bit of a trouble.

Otherwise I will need to maybe get a tank, my is damage no doubt as one of the owner try to mask this with filler and bad job paint. They did not sand it :-(

Are the tank in aluminum or good ol stell ?

Cheers
Arnaud
