not all thous have the slide carbs, american spec kat thou engines had to make do with the cv carbs that the 1100 had due to yank emmission regs. it may be a resin corse, or even just a stock kat with those aftermarket panels. of course, it may even be something exotic like an f1 race bike, though the presence of clocks seems to rule out such an uber rare track only beast. post a pic mate and we will tell you what you really have bought.

Looks like a uk spec gsx1000 katana, nothing to do with a slabside. a good basis for a restoration.

Yep, a fairly un-molested UK spec 1000. Full rear mudguard, and even got the lifting handle on the back.

Sort the brakes, and get the engine and drive chain fixed, and ride it like a good 'un!
