Welcome - hopefully you'll get one and want to join as well ;-)

As an other option, it might be worth looking abroad. I got an Italian 1100 via Switzerland last year and delivered to my door the bike cost me about £3000 for a fairly original bike with original pipes. If you can get it before Brexit it'll be easy! Even after that it isn't so hard.

I checked a German site and this ones looks like quite a good bargain:

GSX1100SZ, 36500km, original 4 into 2, €3300!
https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/deta ... 2a6c4045a5
That has to be in the region of £5-£6k over here.

If you want to go that route then I can give some advice as done twice before. If you join the club then we have contacts in Germany that can help (with initial contact etc unless your German is OK).

viewtopic.php?f=43&t=7910

If you join this month then it's £7.50 until April next year or pay £15 and go through to April 2021 - up to you.
We only do renewals in April hence the price structure.

Search for the member Pedda and PM him. He maybe be able to make the introduction. He is a busy man like all of us, so give him time.

On that site with the Katana there is an email link, which you can also try. I tend to use Google Translate and send a German and English text. The seller might well be better at English than we are (that isn't hard for a Suffolk Boy :-) ). I did talk to Pedda about buying a German bike and he said some Germans are wary of foreign buyers and a lot have been scammed, so see how it goes.

You should be able to see the Members area now as well, as I have marked you as a Club Member. The last edition of our Newsletter is in there if you fancy a read. Pedda wrote some text about what they have been up to in Germany.

See post viewtopic.php?f=40&t=8101 - that links to a not bad 1100 that is from Germany. That guy seems to get a few from there, at least one club member has bought a German one from him.

A member bought a bike from this seller, .....he sold it on a while later but that was because he felt he couldn't ride it , nothing to do with the condition of the actual bike.

We are discussing the one for 4 grand in another thread on here , most opinions seem to be worth a punt. As in it on Nova already and over here.
