Hi lads,

I will advice an opinion on the exhaust system. The end can is damaged it is a after market stuff.
I have seen a guy which make exhaust and he told me it can't be weld it is aluminium.

So he told me the best might be contact the maker and see. I contacted the maker in Japan there is no part available anymore, I also went to the local breaker but he did not have any can to go on it.
He said to me as soon as a race can come in the staff is buying it.

So He told me try ebay, so I look on ebay but I don't really have a clue what I am after, the exhaust man told me any can should do really, just get a slip on one and with rivet if possible.

What do you reckon ? My exhaust is not original it is a 4 in 1. Which kind of can could I but on?

If you have other idea I am open too.

Cheers
Arnaud

I will make a picture of that end can tonight.
I was looking on ebay last night try to find a standard can.

Do you know if a sandard exhaust of sv650 will fit ?
I don't want to have to rejet or anything like that to be honest.

Maybe it will run better with a standard exhaust.

Pipe was sold to Mark not sure where his bike is now.
Standard systems appear on eblag but looking at £180-200. As Mick says the best bet is an Impulse 400 4-1 which is a straight fit.

Can I not just found a end can like scorpion slip on or so on? and fit it in?
I don't have a standard exhaust I have a 4 in 1 already the problem is the end can, is too noisy for me.

I will contact fossie and see if there is something in the club.
I will post picture tonight.

Arnaud, you can always put a baffle in it. Mine was really noisy so i put one of these in it:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MCYCLE-EXHAUST-BA ... 4992wt_698" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There are loads of different ones available. Search ebay with exhaust baffle.

Put some wadding round it and it will quiet it down really well. I have some wadding if you need it.

Its like a rough matting. bit like insulation in your loft.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Exhaust-Wadding-R ... 1381wt_932" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

i have loads left when i done mine.

If you buy a baffle make sure it will fit.

Hi Pete,
Thanks a million for that, I am on the case this afternoon.
For the wadding, I have a dummy question :
- Does the wadding goes around the baffle?
- Do you need to open the end can and changing the existing wadding?
- Or Both ?

Watcha Arnaud, yeah the wadding goes round the baffle and you keep it in place with some wire. Not sure what you have in your end can. Mine was just a big hole !! i just wrapped a load of wadding round one of those baffles and ram the bugger in :) have you a big hole !!!!! :) can you even open the end ?

Cheers
