I'll know soon. got a chap doing frame on the pop up which he's done but still got brakes and stand to do.

Also he's doing the 250's bodywork in 13L ( which is listed at his local paint supplier).
At the mo he's filling in the dents and priming. Should i have got a quote?

If you use Dream Machine, lay down exactly what you expect of them. They wont do the bottom of the tank properly, so if you want the bottom to look as good as the top tell them. My RD500 went back 3 times before they got it nearly as good as they should have gotten it. It looks good, but for £1200 I wanted a better standard of finish. Things like insides of the fairing that can be seen had just been sprayed over, which was not what they had said they would do. Wont be using them again.

 £1200 jaysus that is a lot of money.

To be honest, I got a quote 2 years ago for my van (traffic high and long) for €1000 including body repair and outside respray.

It sounds a lot of money for a bike, which does have a lot less paint need surface wise.

its easy to blow over a van or car, all flat surfaces and panels, bikes are trickier, curves, multiple panels, different substances to be painted, plastic grp, metal, and the owners tend to be more fussy that its just right. the cost of materials is pretty accademic. for my two pennorth, id do it myself. lets face it, you can buy a compressor and all the gear, and spray your bits half a dozen times for under 500 quid till you get it right. 1200 quid will allow you to make a lot of mistakes, flat it back and try again to get it just so, over and over again, and at the end you know that you did it yourself.

Get yourself to a backstreet bodyshop, should be able to get it done for around £250.
