pilot jet not coming out

I have a dilemma! The pilot jet on my no2 carb is stuck fast and there isn't a lot of head left either. Do I leave it alone or enlist the help of a specialist. If I do the latter does anyone have any recommendations? Many thanks Scott

An alternative would be a replacement carb ....someone must have one.

It was working it's just as I have to take the head off, I thought I'd do the carbs with service kits from NRP. It's the only one that's like it

If a replacement carb isn't an option you could post your carb to me and I'll sort it. Unfortunately I'm in Warrington Cheshire which isn't exactly round the corner from you.

We’ve all been there
Soft, finely threaded brass in krusty 40 year old alloy is never a fun time!
Believe mine finally gave up after I introduced the vice grips and blow torch...

Soak in white wine vinegar, dissolves the crud, have used this on the jets when they have come out, so should help to eat away the corrosion sticking the jet in, need a very good fitting screwdriver.

I’m guessing its the fuel jet that sits behind the little rubber plug in the float bowl?
Soaking in the vinegar sounds like a plan.
Do you have an ultra sonic cleaner?
Are you happy to split the bank of carbs? It’s not that scary once you have tracked down all the springs
To remove it if it is properly stuck will need a fine pillar drill and some v small left handed drills. So a job for the brave, a professional or a brave professional.
As El Presidente said, you can always replace it. 32 or 34mm choke. I’m sure I have a spare somewhere.....
Or (shameless plug!)

It's exactly the one under the rubber plug. Yes I have an ultrasound cleaner I ran it through a good few cycles hoping it would ease it out. Bank is already stripped
