hi guys

just asking opinions for now

for the 1327 lump which would be better

dyna s or dyna 2000 ignition,

and if using either would it be better to fit their hi output coils as well

all opinions welcome

You don't have to use dyna coils with dyna ignition systems. I've got some Andrews coils for my big'un, but, they're physically bigger than dyna's so I'll have to be imaginative with placement.
Basically you're getting a bigger spark as you're talking 30kV or even 40kV I believe with some rather than 18-20kV with std ignition so it can't be a bad thing. More efficient burn/bang gives more power surely so every little helps.

As to which one,well I think the 2000 is the newer model isn't it so it'll have the benefit of newer technology one would hope.
What I do know is that they're quite easy to fit and definitely an improvement over stock.

dyna s is simpler, but the 2000 will allow you to set the redline on its adjustable rev limiter. so it depends if you are often missing gears!!!

Go for the Dyna 2000, i've been running it on the Kat1428cc turbo with no problems, also as JR stated, it has the added benefit of the built in rev limiter,... u dont want to drop a valve if u miss a gear,...we've all missed a gear at some point

and if you park it somewhere dodgy you just flick the rev limiter to minimum and anyone who nicks it will only be able to rev it to 2000rpm!!!

HA HA.... Yes... done that a few times, just make sure u can get your finger in to adjust it.
