Popup Downpipes...

Hi guys,

Are there any differances on the downpipes from the popup compared to some/any of the other bike?

My down tubes are mild steel and getting a bit ropey. I have a 4>2>1 stainless steel which is braw.
I don't know if i can grab any kat exhaust downtubes - or solely a popup one.

Cheers for any advice

J

other Kat downpipes won't fit, so it's either popup or gsx750es/ef which use the same engine, there are differences at the silencer though so it's possible that some es downpipes might have a slightly different angle at the silencer join.

You need pipes from that series of engines (750ES,EF etc) as the SZ pipes are slightly bigger.

Cheers guys, i had a suspicion that it wouldn't be easy and that they might have a differant diameter pipe.

NoKat, are the downtubes for a 4>1 system or a 4>2>1 system? I'm trying to work out of the lengths of the pipes may be too long. (4>1 have two pipes longer as they have to reach a bit further to get to the collector)

Thanks

they are from a 4 into 1, don't worry if they are too long, its the too short when it becomes a problem, i'm just unsure about the angles and bends to marry up with your system
