I've just ordered a complete piston kit for the rear caliper from Robinsons foundry for £56.64
Thats with club discount (cheap plug).
I went for the full kit as it was only about £15 quid more than the seals on their own

Just need to find out how to bleed brakes now :?

The piston kit arrived today :D

With each piston there is one thick seal and one thin seal,ok so far. Then at the bottom i found a very small round seal ,if stretched you cound maybe just get a biro through it.
Does anyone know what this one is for :?:

Whats the best way to get the old pistons out :?: Pump one out with the pedal then grab the other one with a pair of swan neck pliers  I have'nt got an air line so is there a manual way of doing it :?

Baz,the small 'o'ring goes inside the caliper which you probably won't need to worry about unless you want to split it. If it's left un-disturbed then it'll probably be fine.

Take the pads out and pump the pedal to get the pistons as far out as possible then hopefully they'll drop out. If one pumps out sooner/further then use a G-clamp to hold the freer one which will force the other to move.

If you get any problems you know my number and I'm R/D this w/end :D

The Grim northern weather has arrived down south ;) so due to not wanting to get any rain in side the caliper looks like the bike will have to wait a bit longer

But i suppose its perfect weather to get under the car and change the oil, should be dry under there

The grim northern weather stopped just long enough for me to get the new caliper pistons and new seals fitted :D :D and knacker the rear brake fluid reservoir
I resently had to change the two srews holding the lid on because one was the wrong thread and the other was nearly rounded off  when i did this i was stupid enough to forget to put some greese on the threads
So when i tried to take the top off today i ended up with one snapped screw and the other one properly rounded off    what makes it feel worse is it's my fault

One step forward two steps back
