Right peeps i'm pretty sure with the amount of 750's out there, that this has been solved time and time again (Yes i have tried the search button ).
My dilema is i have a leaking master cyl , thought about repair kit but main housing is rough and level window is ferk'd, so i have been looking at master's on gaybay and mainly looked at Rf's but also noticed gsxr600 are sloped.
So my question is would the gsxr work with the 750 dinosaur calipers , i do have plenty of working newer tokico and nissan brakes but would like to keep the 750 as standard as possible.

Sound's like the master cylinder on mine.
I did go down the route of cleaning it in an ultra sonic bath. Cleaned it up and repainted, but when fitting what turned out to be the wrong seal kit (tip always use genuine parts) I managed to damage the cylinder.

So I gave up and sent it to Past Parts in Bury St Edmund's who did a top job of refurbishing it including fitting a new sight glass. Not cheap but cheaper than a new one , and buying second hand I would feel obliged fit a new set of seals anyway.

They also did the master cylinder on last year's Raffle Kat

Replacing with one from a newer machine will work. The main thing to look for is the bore should be the same.

Either 14mm or 5/8" I think.

I have found that with a refurbished master cylinder, braided hoses, new pads and seals; the braking is certainly as good as can be expected for a 33 year old bike

out of curiosity what did they charge to refurb it?

Of course if you want to go down the route of the Tea-Pot I have a master cylinder and a pair of calipers for a 600/750. They will need a clean up and new seals, but the master cylinder is not to bad.
I tried flogging them on weEvil BAY but at £25 for the whole lot nobody was interested

You'll have to wait until next week before I'm home and able to fling them in your general direction

Hi sorry missed the question the first time around!

I had the full works done which was:

Vapour blasted

Satin Black powder coat

Replacement sight glass

Cylinder bored and lined with a stainless steel insert

New Seals

Fully tested

If I recall correctly it came to about £90 which sounds a lot, but you pretty much get a new master cylinder back, and as I said with mine the start of the bore was damaged and I had pretty much written it off as scrap. The Raffle Kat was in a pretty poor condition and I didn't fancy leaving such an important item to chance.

When I came to bleed up the brakes they were absolutly spot on with no issues. Sure compared to the SpeedTrip they're not brilliant but for '80s brakes using both front and back they scrub the speed off good enough (from 60mph obviously)

They advertise in pretty much all the magazines and seem to specialise in the Flat Cap Car Brigade market.
