Hi chaps,
Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for a 81 gs650gx katana online? My clymer manual is pretty useless and I'm having some bother trying to start the beast after some refurbishment.

Your clymer has the best wiring diagram at the back as it is colour.

The second one 1981 GS 650 GX..
Or the 650 GZ Which has the fuel gauge.

Is it missing?

What is the starting issue? Most of the time it is the short black white wire from the edge of fuse box to the plate of the starter solonoid, not connected correctly.

My clymer has six wiring diagrams but none in colour, does have the gx though. If it is thought to be correct then I will use it, the rest of the manual seems to be more for the standard gs or the custom model which made me wonder if there was a better option as far as wiring diagrams go.

Do you mean the black and white wire that comes out from the loom a bit before the fuse box? Where exactly does that go to earth? I may have connected a wire wrongly. Just snapped a bolt on the bottom of the fork so well and truly stuffed now, will put an ad in the wanted section and keep my fingers crossed....

Thanks fossie. That was the problem, wire now routed correctly and bike starts. Just indicator issues now. As well as the forks, that is.
