Bar end for 1100sr

Hi all,

When I got back from the annual mot I had a tingly left wrist and a missing bar end!

Does anyone know if the later 1100SR bar ends are the same as older kats and or best place to get a new one? I guess they are weighted and that's lost too.

It looks like a simple job but before I try and remove the throttle side one to match it I thought I'd ask.

Cheers all

Barry :D

Hi Barry
Didn't answer as not sure if the SR bar ends are the same.

But if they are then its fairly straight forward. The Kat bars have the ends plugged and a tapped hole in them.

I think that they are still listed by Robinsons. They come up on weEvil BAY as well.

When fitting make sure the screw is torqued up well and maybe use some threadlock as well.

I think the sunshine has everybody out on their bikes as it has been fairly quiet in here for the last few days.

Solved the prob. As kryten said the bars are tapped for an m6 bolt. But what's interesting is the part number from the Japanese sr manual resolved to the same bar end for an fj. I bought one and I looked at stock pics of the sr new and it looks correct. It's very long at about 50mm. I had to buy another as clearly my bar ends were non stock, in addition the one I lost appears to have gone because the bolt supplied was quite short and the thread was damaged. I ordered a longer bolt from namrick in stainless and with a quick coat of satin black and some thread lock all is well again.
