Apparently these work just fine. Bloke in Japan says lots of peeps do it. It has a built in relay so dont need the black box.

Our club made up ones are just relays as well. But no where near as professional as that.
We just to need to remember that the original boxes. Were built in the early 80's before circuit boards and chips and if they could have done the modern route they would , Maybe we try one of to have a look see.
