Hi peeps. ive just found a guilari seat in the shed that I bought ages ago for the 650 but when I put it on it fits ok but the two rubber bungs which are supposed to seat on the seat support brace of the frame are slightly forward towards the tank. am I right in thinking its for a 550 as they were slightly longer/shorter or is it just that the bungs aren't in the right place as its an aftermarket jobby. going to put it on ebay but didn't want to mis describe it. any help appreciated, thanks

If the seat fits ok at the back without overhanging the seat area of he tail piece and your bike isn't an import ( ie it has an oil cooler)' then the seat is 650 and the bungs are wrong .
Over lapping seat 550.

the actual proud section of the seat base where the bungs are just about hits the bar but there's nowhere else for the bungs to go in the base?

Lets face it guilliari was an Italian company of questionable quality control , most seats didn't have bungs fitted, so it not agreat leap of faith to assume they were fitted wrongly or even by someone afterwards.
Just fit it to a bike take a photo. And let the picture do he talking. Remove bungs if they are in he way.
