Exhaust System

Post by G0FHM » Thu Jun 27, 2013 9:56 am

Hi Guys,

I need an exhaust clamp (that bolts on to the head) as one is split and a set of spacers.

Whoever put the Motad system on, cut bits of tube, hence why it was blowing from the ports!

Any ideas where I can get them from?

Ta,

J

Motad themselves will help you out if you want to go down the new bit route and they're quite helpful.
Not sure what other models have the size you're needing (plenty on here will tho) but I'm sure there's plenty of choice.

I've rung Motad already, as it has Motad system on.

£28 delivered for 4 spacers & 1 collar.

It's an option - but I'm always looking to do it cheaper :-)

Can you post some pictures of what you need?
I might have something that will do.

Hi Poochy,

Basically what I need is one of the collars that clamps the downpipe to the head (secured by the 2 studs in the head) and a set of 4 spacers that fit between said collars and the flared end of the downpipes, to press the end of the downpipe to the gasket.

I can grab some pics if that little description doesn't fill you in enough!

Cheers,

Hi J,

I have a few spare bits from different exhaust systems but I'm not familiar with the motad systems.
There are different designs of clamp and collet arrangements so some pictures would useful initially to see if what I have is likely to be of use. Then I would need some measurements like the clamp hole diameter, exhaust header pipe diameter and the collet length.

Cheers,
Kevin.
