650 headlight mount distance needed plse

Post by sparki » Tue Jun 04, 2013 3:29 pm

Hi all.... Can anyone with a 650 please measure for me the distance between the two mounting points so I can get a replacement light that hasn't been either dragged up from the bottom of the canal or used as a football for its entire life?

Cheers :)

The distance across the Headlamp shell is 20 1/2cm or 8 inches if you prefer.

If you still have shell and rim you could fit any 7" headlamp say a wipac quadoptic (available from Vehicle Wiring Products)or are you after original look? I have a Cibie lamp fitted in the original suzuki rim. It came off a gs1000 but the shell was different but the rim was identical.

not worried about original look.... just want something that is straight, unbent and doesn't require a weekends work to make it look usable ;)

my headlight bits are in the bottom of a box behind a load of other boxes at the moment so was just being lazy ;)

cheers
