Does the 650 seat have anything bolted around the latch slots?

I only ask, as ours won't latch down as the slots are too long. I note that there are 2x 6mm threads coming through next to each slot.

Plates or something to make the holes a bit smaller?

Struggling to work out what you mean, could take a photo.

Basically the seat plate has 4x 10mm nuts that hold it on . there are slots because it can be adjusted .
The threaded bolts are in the seat base captive.

From what you have just described we are missing the seat plate!

Just have 4x 6mm captive bolts in the baseplate, no plate.
