How do you clean them? Seem to remember something like wash out with petrol and put some engine oil on it? Was going to buy a new one but they are a bit pricey and mine looks in ok condition.

Thanks

Pete

You can wash it in petrol, the SQUEEZE it dry, not wring it, it will unshape it for fitting back on the cage.
However modern petrol if left , ie' not run frequently to get airflow through it , will make the filter break up.
Wash in kero/paraffin ,wring as before and cover in filtr oil for best results ,but if you ain't got any the residue of the kero/paraffin will leave enough oil residue to catch the grime particles which is what the ol is for.
