Just got the bandit 6 motor into the 550, all is well apart from the fuel tap landing on top of the carb

D
Does anybody know of a smaller tap that will fit ? otherwise its of to the friendly man with the brazing torch to move the original one forward about an inch or so .....thats about 24.5mm for those born after 1972 !

Can you fit a remote fuel tap from say an RF600 Suzuki ,it just has a pipe coming out and and then find somewhere else to mount the remote tap?

VX800 tap would be an answer, it is actually the knob as is used on the Kat's choke , so copying the panel of the Kat 1100 et al would not only give you a tap but would look right as well.

Cheers Bobster you saved me scouring numerous parts drawings
Fossie its going on the 550 which will have 550 side panels and will have to have a remote tap........or 2 !

I had that problem when the 1200 Bandit engine went in the Kat 750 Frame. Had to use a Pingle Tap.

Cheers ash , didint know about pingel taps. It may still have been tight even with one of those, hopefully the RF600 one will be "shallower"
