1100 Starter Motors

Does anyone know if the starter motor from anything else fits the Kat 1100.Gsxr etc. Or if the plate holding the brushes is available to replace as 1 piece rather than just have to re solder new brushes in. Thoughts please. Cheers.

You can use any GSX 1100 or 750 starters, except the later motels like ES or EFE.

As far as I'm aware you don't have to solder the brushes if you take genuine parts, these come with the leads in place.
