Just pondering stuff and wondered if anyone has ever put or seen a 650/550 style Kat seat on an 1100.The 1100 I am rebuilding has had the seat shortened in a previous life (like Daves wall of death Kat), so its not original in that department.Having seen the ED-1 sketches the seat looks more akin to a 650 to begin with and I like it.

No doubt it can be made to fit "......but the front mounts and the rear seat lock are nothing like each other,the 650 seat is angled the 1100 isn't, but hey !

I was comparing seat lock etc, Like you say anything can be made to fit, just wondered if anyone had seen it or done it.The seats are pretty much the same length but the shae of the 650 seat makes it appear les like a viking long boat! TBH I wont be adding anymore jobs to the already extensive list but if I saw a chea 650/550 seat knocking about I might get it with an eye on this for the future

Fossie had one at stafford a couple of years ago with a fibreglass base that was done by SteaveA.............

And I also have a NOS 650 seat in my spares collection..........for when I get round to doing mine up. ( sorry if It appears that i'm gloating Fluff) I aint!

I just need a set of NOS exhausts and thats all the rare bits! Now where did I see some of those recently?
