Hi all,
I've got a set of inport 750S1 Kat clocks and the speedo needle has started bouncing, but at some times it will drop down to 0mph and stay there, and then start creeping back up then reads the right speed then starts bouncing
any ideas what it my be and can it be fixed?

Did you check the tach cable already?

check the cable, particularly check the bit in the front wheel that drives it, take it out strip it clean it and grease it. take the cable out and make sure the cable where it goes into the bit in the speedo drive is a tight fit, make sure the end that goes into the clock is nice and tight when its engaged. whilst its all apart, take the cable out of the liner and clean it out, oil it with a light oil like 3 in 1, not wd40, any probs, its not the end of the world, ive a few spares for speedos, but no needles before you ask. someone here had a loom off me and ive sent a tach drive out before now.
it dose sound like a cable/drive problem rather than a speedo fault.it might be something daft like a loose connector nut on the speedo back.

its got a gsxr1100k front end on it, but I will be doing the fork seals at weekend so a good time to have a good look.

the jumpy speedo problem is often caused by the cable not fitting into the back of the speedo correctly. the cables are pressed into a square shape over the last inch and fit into a square drive socket on the speedo itself. but if its been apart a lot or someone has shortened the cable of just not put it together properly, it can fail to engage properly, causing symptoms very much like you describe.

Sorted it, when I tock the f/wheel out and had a look at the speedo drive down that end I found that the 2 lugs that rotate where bent, also the cabel was a bit stith.
So I've stratend the lugs and cleaned the cabel and all is well agane with the Kat.
Have put a thow bits and bobs on it over winter so will take a pic of how it looks now, when it stops raining
