cleaning foam air cleaner

Whats best ? just wash with petrol and then engine oil ?

If you do use petrol leave it out for as long as possible to dry out (like a couple of days).

I use Paraffin (or the substitute they sell in B&Q etc).

Paraffin but don't wring it out squeeze it out so as not to twist the fabric.
Apply a coat of engine oil after it has stood for 1/2 hour or so to drain rest out.
Foam filter oil for k&n comes in spray can and applies it evenly and isn't as thick as motor oil.

yeah... i'd have gone with engine oil being too thick tbh.....

suzuki(and iirc all the jap manufacturers) always reccomended oiling foam filters with ordinary engine oil.
