Hi

Can anyone recommend the best brake pads to buy for the front?

I know the brakes are never going to be great.

Standard Kat brakes will be mostly improved by a good training of your right forearm.

And some braided hoses, obviously.

I also use EBC pads in my bike!

Think theyre a different compound to the standard Suzuki ones tho........

I also still have standard hoses and anti-dive fitted.

My brakes are spot on!

ebc green or black compound worked ok for me. helps if you blank off the anti dive too!

Do you think so? Back in the day I blanked the anti-dive off on my 1100 as it was supposed to help but I never really noticed any difference. I think it's more to do with proper bleeding than the anti-dive per se, I'm going to keep it on the thou forks and just become a right little bleeder!

As already stated earlier in this thread..........
I dont have a problem at all with my standard brakes or the anti-dive setup either Rich.........
I was also under the impression that if you "blank off the anti-dive" the forks become very stiff and wooden in comparison.........basically they are sh1te!

Unless of course when someone says " blank off the anti dive " what they really mean is to just disconnect the brake hoses from the brake calipers to the anti-dive actuators.. ........and not actually blank off the forks. ;) Thus allowing the forks to work as normal..............but without the anti-dive circuit in operation!

But " blanking off the anti dive " however can be done on the standard forks if a blanking plate with a " Bypass " is fitted allowing the fork oil to travel on its merry way without being " Trapped " and therefore making the fork performance not so good! ;)

Bobster waits for incoming ordinance! ;)

My form of blanking off was removing the anti-dive units completely and bolting blanking plates over the holes
