My Kat felt on the ground

Post by superfly » Thu Sep 01, 2011 7:29 am

Hi lads,

My Kat felt on the ground this morning after parking it
I suppose I was stupid enough to park it on an uneven spot!!!

Conclusion, an front right indicator and a brake lever are destroyed

So it bring me to the conclusion that I need the protecting engine bar.

Do you know if any are adaptable on the Kat 400?

And my helmet was on the bike at the time, it never felt on the ground since I have it for 6 years now it has scratches

Cheers

That stuff drive me mad really !!! my stupidity has no limit !!!

I was happy to have received a new exhaust for her, and now I need a indicator and brake handle...
And it is proabably not easy to find on the market.

Do you know if it can be replace by other indicator ? same for the brake handle?

Arnaud, go on ebay and type suzuki 400 katana. Lots of stuff. Careful to get the right one though.

or click this:

I have some indicators. will have a look to see if they are any good.

thanks a million Pete.

Still mad at myself, I got caught like a young fella!! but I will get over it I suppose

If you want to sell your speedo driver I am up for it too :-)

I look through ebay, but there is none at the moment. However I found a full original exhaust.
I will have a better look on all of this at home. ;)

Thanks again I felt really crap this morning.

Anything that fits really unless you want originality.
You could also fit flush indicators on the fairing (as a pair obviously) as an alternative.

I looked in one of my spare box and found a brake level, I would say it come from a cb seven fifty and it fix perfectly. ;)

Thanks a million Pete for looking in your box of spare!!!
I would say one of the 3 last one should do really at the worst I will need to modify the fixation system but it should not be a big deal really. ;)

So if you want to sell one of them to me Pete, I am up for it.
I am like a little boy when I damage my toy I'll go crazy !!!

I also look at making a engine protection bar, as I should have done a while back....
I said I had no time, I think it is time to find it. ;) especially that I want to get a tube bender for a while, so hopefully it will do the trick them.
