What size tyres does the 750S2 have? Are they 18/19 same as 1100 or 16/17 same as pop up?

Hi Mal,

I looked there but couldn't (& still can't) see tyre sizes, but as the overall height & length was the same between the 2 models confused me. Forgive me for seeming thick, but wouldn't bigger wheels/tyres have a different length/height?

Kat Central didn't help either

But thanx for clearing it up

It doesn't say the width of the tyres but it does say the diameter, 16" front and 17" rear

overall length of the S1 is 2250mm and the S2 is 2210mm,

overall height of the S1 is 1215mm and the S2 is 1160mm.

That looks consistant with the smaller wheels of the S2

It's the 1983 mark 2 version in the link i posted.

The seat height on both is the same so maybe the S2 has slightly longer shocks and the forks pulled through a bit more ?

Sorry Mal I apologise, it only took 3 reads before I "read" the wheel size

Strange how they say that the Mk2 had the code GSX750S-3
GSX750S Katana Mark 2 was released in 1983. The updated model had 16- inch front and-17 inch rear tyres and the engine delivered now 72 hp. The wheelbase was the same but the second edition of the Katana was longer, wider and higher than its forerunner. For domestic market in Japan, the model code was
GSX750S-3, GSX750SD in Europe.

The same code then for the pop up :?:
The 1984 year's GSX750SE was a completely new model, not just a facelift. It was designed by Suzuki engineers in Japan but it still kept the original Hans Muth lines. The engine had been replaced by the new oil-cooled 16-valve unit from the GSX750E/ES/EF, and developed 90 unrestricted bhp. It had the Suzuki Full Floater suspension rear end and Positive Damping Forks at the front. Probably the most noticeable of all however was the new fairing which now had a retractable (pop-up) headlight which helped give it an even sharper front end than the previous models.

The frame and parts of the wheels were colored gold and the black painted engine had also gold paint on the cam end covers and engine sides. For domestic market in Japan, the model code was
GSX750S-3.

looks like the 1982 750 has 19" front wheel though?
