after spending most of the morning digging the kwak turbo out of the garage and getting it running, i took it to the other garage and swopped it with the tidy kat.
thinking this shock change might be an arse of a job i left it for a few hours until i was ready to attack.
i ripped the old one out in 10 minutes ,but left the adjuster in place just for looks, then came the change over bit.
looking at the ducati shock i noticed the top end had rather a heavy ally casting, not wanting at this stage to get the files and cutters out i thought i could reverse it which would make it a slot in job with just a couple of shims at the lower bolt hole.
once all bolted together i could feel the difference just sitting on it, but not enough time to take it out for a spin.
due to not having a reservior or remote i can't see it performing any different , can you ?

Ok, can you tell me what shock that is and where I can get one from as mine squeeks like a mouse and needs replacing.

this came from a ducati 600 monster 2002, don't rush off to buy one yet as i have not rode it to see how it performs,
if you go onto evilbay and look around at others, make sure that between the hole centres are 330mm or very close and the hole sizes are both 10mm.
i've just been looking at the sr2 1000 as well ,but at the moment i have no info ,by the looks of it,it might fit better (who knows)
looks like i will not be riding until at least next friday unless i can con the mrs into giving me a couple of hours off tomorrow

took the kat out for a quick spin yesterday and it felt ok, i'm no Rossi or tec bod from ohlins but it was far better than what i had before.
this thread is not finished yet as i will still keep looking to see if there are any better shocks around.

just taken it out for a spin, there are some adjustments,but not messed with yet as shitty road conditions and its just not worth pushing it too much, i want to sell it next year in one piece
