Tend to lube the chain with what ever is at hand (over the years I have acccumulated a variety of chain lubes) after a ride bike goes on the center stand chain is wiped with a rag and the lube applied. Speedtrip gets the same treatment.

Used to commute 50 + miles a day on an XT600 Tenerife cleaned and lubed the chain every 2nd tank of fuel. Required a new chain and sprockets every year and new cush drive rubbers every 2 years. Wish I still had that one now...
