Seeing as i have some late model gixxer clocks laying about and i cant find a replacement cover for mine i decided to upgrade for the time being.
Has anyone done a retro fit of late model clocks with a speedo sensor onto a katana?

Re: Clock Swap
you'll need to modify your sprocket cover to accept the speedo pick up, you'll also need to drill and tap the output shaft so you can bolt on the castle nut thingy for the sensor to pick up from. after that you'll need a speedo healer so you can get it showing the correct speed.
I think it would be cheaper and easier to buy a new clock cover from robinsons, or fit some 750es/ef clocks, or give fossie a shout, he might have some clock parts lying around..

Re: Clock Swap
Yeah im aware of all those bits n pieces. Im hoping the shaft will be factory drilled like my slabbie but odds are against it.
I asked Robinsons and CMSNL but no face or rear clock parts are available. A set came up on the bay recently but went before i got a look. I did ask for those on here before but no luck.
