Post by Kryten » Mon May 30, 2022 8:16 pm

Probably been asked before, but here goes….

10w40 or 20w50?

Obviously mineral for the old air cooled donkey….

Book says 10w40

10 -40.., 20-50 is too thick for cold starting really and although it's air cooled it does get hot enough to breakdown 50 weight.

Thanks for that.

My next oil change will finish off my Motul and I was wondering what others were using, I’d found someone selling the Rock Oil stuff but it was only the 20w50.
