Are these people confused by the idea that e10 has more Ethonol , thinking that this is the high octane stuff, because race cars use pure ethonol ?

You'd be suprised about the lack of useful information or even correct info .....down mainly to Way it's been rolled out! Sold as a good thing for the eviroment..( which is bollox), but mainly the social media key board worriers in places that know everything and nothing at all at the same time ..

Never had any problem with leaving super unleaded fuel in any of my bikes, and that included months of non use thanks to a certain pandemic, just filled the tank to the brim, added some fuel fit fuel stabiliser, ran it for five minutes and walked away, apart from the battery needing a boost the bikes fired up with no problems, maybe those people just want you to use your bike more often :)
If I could use the bike more, I would but with 3 on the road I've got to treat them all the same or they won't be happy with me :D

Thanks for the input ;)

Pretty sure it's been proven that ethanol is water-absorbing. This absorbed water then settles at the bottom of your tank and goes rusty.
Also it can make fuel pipes go hard.
Some super unleaded does not contain any ethanol (although will be marked e5/e10), but in the Northwest, Essex and Shell could not tell me if I could get ethanol-free.
