Post by KatanaBob » Wed May 31, 2017 8:04 pm

Hi all,
Is anyone willing to share their carb jet settings for a 750 (preferably pop-up) with pod filters?
Cheers

Not many on here have pod filters, a few but very few . They seem to be a ********* to set up in our climate. So you should have fun!

Only fish comes to mind with pods on a pop up.

Thanks, i have heard it is a typical problem with CV carbs..... and that is the reason for the rubber velocity stacks in the airbox.... the CV carbs need them to stabilise the air before it flows over the jets etc. Damn, i was really looking forward to getting rid of that airbox!

Tis indeed true that Steve ain't a pop up ........though the photos do show the front popping up frequently! :?

From the mists of time I remember a chap in shifnal, pikeysummat...had a pop up that he inadvertently put the engine in the frame before airbox, so thought. I'll just fit pods .....about 6 months later he ripped the engine out to fit airbox!

Fish eventually got his running reasonable but tick over is higher.
Harris eventually took his to a dyna and got them to do it. Basically the variables are many , zorst, altitude ....Austria must be higher than UK. Is the rain warmer in Austria ......pods luuuuuuuuuv misty rain water....not.
