Clutch actuator shaft?
Hi there everyone. Not even sure if my description is correct in the title but I am talking about the shaft that runs down the inside of the clutch cover that the actuator arm slides on to. Anyway, how do you get it out?!! Is there a retaining circlip or something or is it a big hammer required? Thanks

Re: Clutch actuator shaft?
Think its just held in by the oil seal and the bearings, im almost sure there is no circlip or retainer...........So it should pull out, but you'll prob need a new oil seal as itll prob get damaged removing the shaft. Try a bit of heat on the casing as the bearings are prob an interference fit.
Try clamping the shaft in a vice with some soft jaws and then try tapping the case with a rubber mallet / plastic mallet.......go easy tho, we all know ham fisted you can be! lol

Thanks for your kind words Bobster!
Its def an interference fit.I had a bit of a tap tonight and it didn't budge.I'll get the blow torch out when I have more time and can be careful. Wish me luck, you know how ham fisted I can be

Don't think I used heat when I changed one of mine.... I also seem to recall that it needed quite a bit of persuasion to come out... Tight lil feckers

Hi Sparki, I think i'll be reaching for my biggest hammer! Had a little crack at it last night and it didn't move a millimetre!! More 'persuasion' required!
