stuck exhaust

hi all one of the downpipes is stuck solid in the head on my 750 tryed oil heat big hammer ratchet strap round pipe and bench but no luck yet anyone got any ideaso of what to do next thanks dave

If you have a scissor jack put it between engine and exhaust (use wood or rags as protection) and apply pressure, then leave over night whilst spraying header collar with wd40 (other products available) but be patient.

Had to do it on my gs750 when we originally stripped it down.

the jack sounds like an idea im using a ratchet strap around pipe and a fence post i will try a jack

its more likely to come out if you twist it rather than pulling or jacking it out. beware, too much force might damage the ally of the head before it damages the steel of the exhaust.
