Does it have to be an Odyssey?
I have just fitted a Gel battery to Skruffy Kat. Can't remember the make though, as I bought it from my local car parts emporium.

Haven't tried it out yet as:

A) still need to fit the carbs and exhaust*

and

B) I'm in the middle of the North Sea at the moment.

I take it you mean size-wise? The PC 310 fits more or less. It's not quite that high as a stock lead battery, but fits in the battery tray perfectly. You will have to work on the plugs as the Oddyssey contacts are small. But there are adaptors with it. Powerwise no problem. By the pic you can see how it sits in the battery tray.

I use a dynavolt gel battery, it turns over my 1230efe no problem, i swap it about to use on the kat too.. think it's a CB14 but check to be sure. Alot cheaper than an odessey.
