Sad news about Kryten

Post by Jonty » Thu Mar 27, 2025 8:18 am

I've been chasing Kryten for a while trying to get in touch about a trip and just heard some awful news today.

I know he'd been trying to get his Katana restored and was edging closer (I think its 11 years 7 months on this latest bike) and he's been getting engine put back, carbs done, cases polished etc.

Everything was looking so good and then, disaster.

He found another craftsman that did something in the restoration process and decide that this too needed to be done before he could finish his bike restoration.

Apparently he has found an indicator lens re-roranger (I wasn't aware such a thing existed, but trust Kryten to find it).

I haven't been able to speak to Kryten, but his wife said that he's been so excited about it, he talks in his sleep, mumbling about plastic tolerances, he has forced the family to drink carrot juice every morning, so obsessed he is now with orangeness and he has bought himself a Donald Trump wig.

His wife said that we now shouldn't expect the bike to be ready until 2027, but she is confident that he will find something else by then to delay it further.

Good old Kryten!

Sheesh!

Jonty's Herring is clearly failing!

The indicator lens's are ultra sonically washed in Loch Fynne Kipper Liquor to take the orange colour out! 8-) 8-)
