Fuel tap

Was on a certain auction site intending to buy a fuel tap repair kit, only to find there are new taps advertised for sale, cheaper than the kit. There is a saying that goes "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is "
Has anybody tried one of these oriental products, if so how are they? If not,I'll take one for the team and chance it.

Yep got 2 of these, both work fine. They are of the older GS look as in the actual operation handle is larger, (good for gloved hands ) bigger and the pipe connections are not the same place in most cases. But if the fuel pipe and vacuum pipe are long enough no issues ......just avoid cinks.
The 2 I bought are for the 250 and a pop up, fitted straight on , the pop up is tight to frame when tank on but no problems. A repair kit was 3x the cost of the new tap.

Personally I would go with a repair kit from NRP. The seals are Viton so ethanol proof (according to the link below for the 1100). They are only £16.80 plus some postage (as they are in Manchester you might even be able to have a trip out to pick one up!). I don't think the cheap Chinese ones will be Viton and after having a leaking tap in the 1100, 400 and the TZR I'm not prepared to risk it again.

Just my choice though.

Good man. If its surplus to your requirements, it will be very welcome. But the obvious question is, what have you got on the 750?
