Just finished reading about the London ultra low emission zone to be introduced on 8th April 2019, it replaces the central London T-charge but it differs in being 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it will cost £12.50 a day but unlike the present charge motorbikes are now included, the worst news is that after 25th October 2021 the zone will extend to the greater London area right up to the North and South circular roads, so my trips to the Ace cafe on my 250 Kat will have to be scrapped, the only exemptions are bikes that are built after 2007 that conform to Euro 3 regulations and strangely bikes over 40 years old which will please all the Triumph and Norton owning 'ton up boys' be careful though, if this is a success (not in lowering emissions but in swelling the mayors coffers) it will spread to Birmingham, Manchester and other major cities, you have been warned

Disgusting money making exercise for all involved and only really hits low income and those with older vehicles (whether by choice or monetary issue)

Maybe we need some 'yellow jackets' to remind Mr.Khan why and who put him there.....

MAG had a meeting with mr Khan , who has conceded in principle that motorcycles are a solution to congestion and is looking at the motorcycle ulez charges
Aswell as getting full bus land access through out London not just some boroughs .
Why should we in the rest of the U.K. Worry ? What inside the M25. Gets replicated.!

Well there's the M6 toll road in Manchester for a start, when it opened people said they wouldn't use it but it's being used by somebody, emissions seem to be like the plastic bag charge or sugar tax, the problem is created by large companies then they charge ordinary people for making them feel guilty.

The M6 toll is around Birmingham, and is used by a percentage of vehicles , in actual fact it's probably about 15% of daily traffic, now the time it takes to use the toll or carry on through spaghetti junction is the same, we proved it on the way back from AGM. So yes a waste of money.....also the fact 1 junction or all 8 junctions cost th same is bizarre.
As for emissions zones and charges we are all caught on this cash cow, your road tax is emission related....how can a Range Rover paid less than my 650 Katana?
Here in Manchester we voted against the congestion charge 98% to 2% and were told it won't happen here .....we now have a labour mayor for greater Manchester in the same vane as mr Khan And guess what a ULEZ is being discussed.......on the plus side of this Birmingham has a ULEZ but motorcycles are exempt! Hope!

Up date
I believe that all bikes regardless of age are now to be exempt from the London charge

Hope this is true and the Mayor has seen sense, watched a You Tube video about the ULEZ and the stats said that at the moment motorcycles make up just over 1% of all pollution in the capital, it might even get more car drivers riding bikes into London

Its being looked at but there is already some light in that if you can 'prove' your models emissions are lower than banned then that model bike will get an exemption

MAG are on the case with the mayor...with a few MPs on the force who know how it works ....
Fingers crossed ...as said if this battle is won then ours up here will be easier ....hopefully!
