Cheers for that, its flippin' interesting, seems that in the last 5 years my 250 kat has failed its mot more times than its passed :) but then again, some of those testers must have been up their own arse to have mentioned as advisories 'engine cam cap slightly loose' and 'drive chain slightly loose' what a bunch of nob ends ! i've got it through two mots since i've owned it and its passed with no advisories, maybe its the owner that matters :)

a good MOT tester (who rides bikes) is worth his/her weight in gold,

we all know if are bikes are safe, but "legal" is a paper exercise,

let us out there and play :-)

Interesting site. In 30 years of getting my bikes MOTed I have only had 2 fails and both were at main dealers (can't remember why I took them to a main dealer now). I normally take my bikes to a MOT only place (that I have used for years but is nearer where I used to live 25 miles away) or a car place that does bike MOTs (hence will not fail to get repair work).
