Re: Jmac ..
Smand's comments involve a moment at our gaff in France ...a group of us went out for the day and Jmac wanted to stay there . After asking if there was any jobs he could tackle She mentioned that the bread oven in the chimney was covered over and maybe take the cement/ sand layer off to see what behind it .....when we got back there was a hole through to the garden!
Obviously we covered it over again . But it sums Jmac ...its wot you sed to do
( Now it's an arch shaped window through the fire place )

Re: Jmac ..
23years I've known him from his first days as a dispatch rider which believe it or not was only 24 years ago! We worked together for 12 or so years and he didn't do any mechanics until he bought the shark of me , then the 650 Kat that had been sat in college all its life in 2009 ish ....from then on ha striped engines. Repainted etc his spare time is his lock up container ....hence his passion for our club and members.
Work wise he did distance and hours on motorways didn't phase him ...he hated town jobs which I covered ...he had control of the Queen Mary leaving Southampton once .. often returned with more scratches than he started with , came back with his visor missing and bits of helmet missing ....Seagull is all he said. I passed him once on a motorway heading for Liverpool on a 3 wheel scooter we were testing , he was reading an A-z because the left hand was 'obsolete'

Re: Jmac ..
The man is a legend..full stop.
The kids both said they didn't understand how he got anywhere..Toby stated he was purely just impressed at his longevity especially after he went on the back of his bike once and every so often he would just judder for no apparent reason
I will see what archive pics I can find

Re: Jmac ..
Jmac.
He became a frequent visitor of German Kat Rallies. Usually the first with a ‘count me in‘ after the invitation was out. And usually being my guest at my house as a leg forth and back. We had developed this little habit that he would bring a Single Malt for me to taste at the bonfire and me bringing some German Schnaps specialities for him in return. Once this gentleman asked me for advice which Schnaps to buy as a present for a lovely old lady living in his neighbourship. So we did some shopping in a local liquor store for her. That was pre brexit time so he could bring enough of those bottles without hassle. He never told me how that party went, btw. Gentleman.
