Not sure about that because the surface will be quite rough - at least on the objects that I saw come out of a 3 d printer.

If its a cheaper model most seem to break easy, a friend had a £1000+ model and it used 3 heads in 2 weeks and got returned.
My suggestion as was with him is let us buy some red plastic and get him to print Speedo needles with the 2 round back connection spures, then i'm sure plenty of people will pay for them and can repair their clocks.
Only my opinion.
Plastic wire is about £30.
