SIDI BOOTS...

Post by Nicky Dodds » Sat May 10, 2014 9:48 pm

Does anyone out there wear sidi boots and if so do they find their sizing a bit on the small side?

Yes on both accounts, but only wear my sidi's with ultra thin socks in summer as my size 9's more like 8.5's

Yes I agree they tend to be on the smaller size, the problem is euro sizes some people say a 44 is a 10 and a 45 an 11 but you can also read that a 45 is 10-1/2 Best go in a shop try them on then buy on the web does not help the local dealers but that's progress!

Anything with Italian design is always smaller than UK equivalent . Alpinestars , Dienese, AGV, etc.
Motorcycle wear. Is always best bought in a shop after trying on. A good shop will have a chair that you can use to replicate the position of riding or better still a bike you can sit on, even boots feel tighter when in riding position.
Best thing to do with boots is to get them wet and wear them, then let them dry naturally with scrunched up newspaper stuffed in them. They will stretch and hold their shape.

Yes I wear Sidis. Got 3 pairs, 1 for Enduro, 1 for winter and 1 for summer. They are all on the small size compared to UK sizing. If you like to wear thickish socks go for a size up. (in my opinion of course)
