Went for £3433 seems an ok deal ....essentially a modded Kat for not too much ...compared with Kats that have been modded . ;)
Obviuosly once home the buyer can decide a bargain or not weather the work has been well done.

Wow, I really like the look with the Bandit forks, really keeps the original height. Does anyone know what triple tree he would use for that, and yolk?
82 Katana 1000 (work in progress, but she will be beautiful she has a dedicated sugar daddy)
2010 Z1000 (50k miles, I think that is like 60 Kilometer's or so)

Its something that looks like a Kat but is actually built around a 750 Iazuma frame (basically a twin shock / retro styled bandit)
Whilst looks quite OK I personally think it was a bit misleading advertising as a Katana bearing in mind its only the styling that is such.....

Isn't a Kat just a gsx1100 with a body kit styled by target?
It's the body kit that's is recognisable as a Kat ....otherwise if you have an 1100 katana the put a Bandit 1200 engine in it it isn't a Kat any more ! Discuss ;)

I spoke to the guy and this had done over 50, 000 miles and was in his words 'a build on a tight budget', so I suspect the rear end was very wrong with a modified GSXR1100 arm.. not such a bargain to be honest..

All my bikes have way, way , way , way over 50,000 miles on them all pass their MOT with no effort,
Granted no serious mods but my point is decent work only needs experience and time.
I'm not saying that this is excellent and really well put together , just high milage isn't an indication of not worthy ......though as said this sort of machine is one to view first ....I do hope the new keeper is happy with his purchase , that could mean he can rejigg stuff because it started as rejigg

This is an Inazuma / Bandit 'special' that just happens to look like a Katana......
If I build an Toyota MR2 based F40 kit car does that mean its worth the many $$$ that the Ferrari is??
After all its exactly the same mid-engined sport car 8-)

Clearly a mid engine replica f40 isn't ever going to be worth in monetary terms that of the proper f40. However this hypothesis is using a Toyota to replicate a Ferrari...
But an Izuma/ Bandit is Suzuki based ..£2 and half grand is a reasonable price for one of these .....but adding a Kat body kit hasn't added to its value ...just its worth ;)

Some years ago when we went to the highlands as a club , we stopped at the Green Wellie rest stop and parked all the Kats up together , no one noticed the Taffs GSXR fitted with a Kat tank and body kit was not what it seemed ...In fact once it was noticed the engineering was the topic of appreciation ? 8-)
