A replica? When the object of the replica never existed! ;)
Interesting project certainly .. But a pop up with out a pop up is just an ES.....than add a fairing from an ED2 .. Mongrel

Again though why spend all that time and money and never ride it?

Did Wes Cooley ride one of these as a paddock bike or something?

I quite like it.

I know I don't do that many miles, but this person is worse than me!

Don't get me wrong it's well done and dosen't look too over the top ....but you have a replica of something that didn't exist. A homage yes

I don't think Wes Cooley had anything to do with Kats.. 700/750ES's, yes..

Black frame, bent sidestand, no chainguard, half a normal Kat fairing, badly cut and shut headers, fake Yoshi badge on cheap silencer, early teapot wheels, anodised hydraulic fittings.. nothing 'quality' there!

This looks a pretty awful thing thrown together and quite why it has Schwantz's number on it it anyone's guess.. £7k?? :D :D :D :D

Wes raced a Katana 1000 for Yoshimura in the 1982 AMA superbike series after winning the 79 and 80 series on a GS 1000
He rode number 34 before Kevin schwantz took it over after Wes retired.

Thanks Jak, I take my comments back about the race number..

The bike's still a piece of crap for £7k though :D
