If you saw it in real life you might not think it that reasonable. Cheaper in the long run to import one I bet....

Ah there speaketh a man who has ventured many miles upon where dissapointment has been the result of the quest! :)
To be fair I was more commenting on the price rather than condition .....I mean an offer tag and a low top bid price by recent expectations .
I would always assume if you buy a 400, it's going to cost an extra grand , once paint , carbs , coils CDI , and zorst are accounted for ..
But if you are saying leave the barge poll at home , then....... :lol:

I'm no expert by any means but I did go look at this bike a few years ago. He claimed it was a special yoshimura version and wanted 1500 back then. Forks and shocks both shot and like you say will require a full fuel system and electrics refurb. General condition wise it's on a par with my pop-up.
It's owned by a dealer who basically conned it from another dealer for about 75p or some daft figure.
