Low start with no reserve. Another German one is my guess!
The UK must have emptied Italy (I have 2 of theirs!) so now is starting on Germany!
Looks like the same guy Jez bought from?

GSX1100SZ Katana (German)
Re: GSX1100SZ Katana (German)
Yup same guy. Called Matt.
He brings bikes back from Germany in his van when he has been out there mountain biking.
It wasn't at the property when I was there but perhaps there was enough interest that he thought he'd better get another one.

Re: GSX1100SZ Katana (German)
I bought that one and picked it up yesterday
A little bit rough around the edges, missing the centre stand, original indicators and a few other bits.
Overall, it was a good buy for $4688.

Well done j0n3s. Is that your first Katana then?
Don't forget if you join the club you'll get 10% off at Robinsons Foundry on parts which can pay for itself if you have a few things to buy.
If you want to get an original seat cowl they should still be available from Suzuki hopefully. I got one last month for £100 (after club discount). BandB Lincoln sometimes post them on Ebay for £140!!! It's worth checking if parts are still available from Suzuki before going down the (sometimes overpriced) NOS route.

Re: GSX1100SZ Katana (German)
Thanks Uncle Bob.
I think it’s my 5th or 6th. Back in the 80’s I had quite a few, I sold my last one in the early 90’s for pittance, regretted it ever since. I’ve gone down the more modern route since then owning GSXR 1100 slabbie, KTM and Ducati route since then.
I’ve been lurking eBay for years seeing the prices gradually creep up and divided this was the one.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely look in to the seat and genuine Suzi parts before going NOS.
I love the Racefit updates of classic 80’s muscle and tempted to go down a CRMC based qualifying classic racer route. Quite fancy one of those race single seat fibre glass units.
Thinking of buying and stripping a Bandit 1200 for the wheels, engine and forks to transfer over to the Kat.
Back in the late 80’s I bought a video camera, mates and I used to film each other messing around on our bikes, pre and post smashed up.
Here’s a video of one of my Katana’s getting badly wheelied whilst it was being rebuilt
