The only vehicle I've ever had from brand new. Bought her in 1999 and shipped her from Japan to the UK. Over the years the list of modifications has been extensive but more on the subtle side, or at least not 'in ya face'! Derestricted, frame braced, various Yoshimura parts, uprated suspension and brakes, etc. etc.
I don't think I could ever sell this bike, there's just too much history. For example, I took my then girlfriend now wife of 11 years for a spin on the Kat to Watts Chapel near Guildford, where I proposed. It was virtually ruined by one so called 'specials' builder and then put right by some brilliant technicians that became friends. Been in a couple of mags. Just too much history. Never fails to make me smile when I fire her up.

Re: My modified home market GSX1100 Katana
Very nice, I like the pipe, got a Suzuki Gsr750 with a mivv double shotgun slip on in titanium that looks quite similar, i've owned a Kawasaki kr-1 250 two stroke from new and it has so many memories connected with it I can't sell it, did 100 miles on it last year! i'm getting older and fatter but the bike still looks like it did when I picked it up from the dealers in August 1989
